All are invited to the Meet the Artists Opening Reception for the dual exhibition of ''Conversations'' and the 2026 Adirondack Life Art Show at the Paul Nigra Center for Creative Arts! This free event will take place Thursday, July 30, 4-7 p.m. Stop by any time to browse the exhibition, meet some of the featured artists and hear artist Susan Hoffer talk about ''Conversations'' and her work! ''Conversations'' features 40 watercolor and oil paintings by Susan Hoffer and Valerie Patterson. This collection of portraits and slice-of-life scenes explores human connection, identity, belonging and social change through different but complementary styles, making for a beautiful and thought-provoking dual exhibition. The 2026 Adirondack Life Art Show is our eighth annual collaboration with Adirondack Life Magazine, featuring the photography of seven artists who won awards in their 2026 Photography Contest. On display are each artist?s winning photographs along with other pieces from their portfolios, showcasing the beauty of the landscape, plants and animals of the Adirondack Park. This event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Susan Hoffer's presentation will take place at 5:30 p.m. The night will also include voting for this show's Community Choice Award, generously sponsored by Kathleen Marshall, which will go to the piece that received the most votes throughout this show's run.
