Part Time Maintenance Contractor for Johnstown Historical Society
Job Description: The Johnstown Historical Society is looking for a local part time experienced maintenance manager to oversee the basic everyday maintenance of our 3 historic properties. This job would require weekly check-ins at each building to inspect and make any minor necessary repairs, perform seasonal maintenance, assess any major damage or issues and report them to the president and the board of directors and subsequently oversee the hiring and execution of larger projects by professionals as needed. As well as oversee some other basic tasks as requested by the board of directors.
Skills required: Basic/beginner carpentry and or plumbing knowledge, ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds, interpersonal and communication skills, keep accurate records of all maintenance being performed.
Compensation: This work would be a contract that is paid on hourly work at $15 per hour and paid monthly after submitting hours worked. Hours would be approximately 10-15 hours per week based on needs and requests by the board.
