Distinguishing Features of the Class: These duties involve responsibility for the safe and efficient operation of various types of light motor equipment used in construction and repair of County roads and related public works and solid waste management activities. The work is performed under general supervision in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures. General instructions are received regarding routine work and detailed or specific instructions are received regarding new or unusual assignments. The incumbent does related work as required. 
Residency Requirement: Applicants must be a legal resident of Montgomery County or a Contiguous County.

Minimum Qualifications: One year of experience in the operation light automotive equipment
Special Requirement for Acceptance of Application: Possession of NYS CDL Class B with Air-Brake endorsement at time of application and maintained throughout the course of employment. Must not have an E Restriction.
