JOB SUMMARY:
Operate machining, cutting, and turning machines to manufacture precision metal parts for the Fortune 500 energy industry. Prior experience with Bridgeport, manual lathe, and/or milling preferred.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties as assigned):
- Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
- Machine parts (remove material) to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, or other high-speed material-rotating fixed-cutter machinery, or fixed-material high-speed rotating cutter machinery. Large and small.
- Measure, examine, and test completed units using precision instruments such as micrometers to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
- Set up, adjust, and operate all rotating machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining and cutting operations.
- Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
- Establish and monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
- Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine the methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products and the dimensions and tolerances of those products.
- Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used to prepare machinery work.
- Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock to display the placement of cuts.

Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Additional certifications, education and specialized fabrication certifications highly desirable.
Experience:
- Metal Fabrication: At least one year of experience in metal fabrication or related work.
- Machining: 2 years (Preferred)
Work Location: In person
Weekly Work Schedule: M-F, 7:00am-3:30pm, 1st shift only, no weekends, overtime is minimal, if at all.

Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $22.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending upon experience. Quarterly bonus opportunity available.
