Hiring Range: Per Diem Flat Hourly Rate $33.00

The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.

Responsibilities:

• Develops conditioning programs for injured and non-injured athletes to ensure safety in the program design incorporating nutrition plans and schedules customized to meet individual athlete needs.
• Designs and implements comprehensive training or rehabilitation programs to prevent injury and illness among athletes.

• Evaluates and manages Maintains medical documentation on each athlete and acts as a liaison

• Prepares athletes for practice or competition based on team schedules, applicable regulations and guidelines, and in conjunction with physician and sports performance staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Required Credential(s):
  • Athletic Trainer credentialed from the New York Committee of Athletic Trainers obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer

Education:

• Requires a Bachelor's Degree from a program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE) 
• Must pass the certification exam administered by the Board of Certification (BOC) to become a certified Athletic Trainer (ATC)
